Having decided to make a model of HMS Appleton, a TON class mine sweeper, (the ship’s name is taken from villages with TON in their name) to display in the pub or Village Hall. I contacted The TON Class Association (TCA) and they very kindly sent me a set of working drawings to work from.
I in turn sent them photos of the items at The Plough Inn and the name plate in the Village Hall that the ship’s company presented in 1969.
