For nearly one thousand years, St Laurence Church has been at the heart of village life in Appleton. In addition to being a place of worship it is an important historical building and asset to the village.
In order to help secure the long-term future of this beautiful building, the Appleton St Laurence Heritage Trust was established in 2014 to raise funds that contribute to maintaining the church and the churchyard so that they can be enjoyed by generations to come.
We raise funds from running events like the Jazz Concert, a gospel singing workshop, and engaging talks from Sarah Outen, an amazing adventurer, and Helen Browning, organic pig farmer and environmentalist. Our events are open to everyone from the village and elsewhere. If you have any ideas for events we could hold, or would like to be involved in our activities, please do contact us.
We also encourage villagers and those connected with Appleton to become members of the Trust by making a regular monthly donation, from as little as £2 per month.
If you would like to become a member, please contact Mary Carey using the details above.
