Jubilee Park Playground
Jubilee Park, situated at the end of Badswell Lane, is a wonderful area for children and adults to meet and play. It was opened in 2012 and has been well used and enjoyed since then. It has become a meeting place for families and even a venue for birthday parties.
The park incurs maintenance costs of approximately £3,000 a year; cutting the grass and hedges, safety checks, insurance etc. The Parish Council covers 60% of these costs but the remainder is raised through fundraising events organised by The Friends of Jubilee Park.
There are currently 12 Friends of Jubilee Park who meet once a month to plan family-friendly events — Treasure Quests, Car Washes and May Day Magic. Each month one Friend carries out a weekly safety check of the Park to make sure it is safe for everyone to use. New members and fresh money making ideas are always welcome!
There is always a surprising amount of lost property (mostly clothing) left at the Park. To reclaim this, to find out more about becoming a Friend of Jubilee Park or make a donation towards the upkeep of the Park please use the link to our Facebook page Appleton with Eaton’s Jubilee Park.
Please note that there is no parking available near Jubilee Park so please walk or cycle.
In the event of anything to report please contact the Parish Clerk at parishclerk@appleton-eaton-pc.gov.uk or on 07767 596 650.
